This is for Elle. I had left a comment to your post but I guess that you did not see it. Are the peppers around 2 to 3 inches in length and how hot are they?
Pepper crop for next year will be Thai Gong Bao, Serrano, Poblano, Bell, Banana, Carrot Bomb, Orange Spice Jalapeno, Sugar Rush Peach Jalapeno, Yellow Monster, Pumpkin Spice Jalapeno , Lunch Box and Maya Pimento
The harvest is almost done. I ended up with enough Guajillos and Anchos dried for a couple years of chili. As always, my Bell peppers and Banana peppers ended up being stuffed and eaten through the summer. My New Mexico Peppers also produced a good crop, which are now dried and I will use in my chili in place of Pasilla peppers. I gave away eight-gallon baggies of peppers. I’ll be ordering my seeds for next year in about a month. I think that I will try to grow peppers that I never tried to grow before.
Normally when I harden my plants I do so on consecutive days. This year that was difficult as the sixty and seventy degree days was interspersed with snow. The forecast is looking better next week so I hope to get the plants outside and planted. Even with topping, they are outgrowing my growing chamber.
The question was asked about topping seedlings. I have never done so but I am being forced to this year. After no germination last year, I planted my seeds earlier than normal and they have grown like weeds, to the point they are toppling over.
