Pepper GalI love everything spicy! So much so that I created a site that shares my passion for growing hot peppers and discovering all kinds of spicy foods. I started CayenneDiane.com as a labor of love to provide information to those out there that share my same love of heat and might want to discover more information about peppers. Stay spicy my friend!

It is finally official! Pepper X is now the hottest chile pepper and is recognized by Guinness World Records. Pepper X’s sizzling Scoville score was calculated by Winthrop University in South Carolina, who conducted tests using specimens from the past four years.

So I've transplanted to North Carolina which is a great place for growing hot peppers. What would you recommend growing for the upcoming season?

Skip Pallesen Hey Skip, just wanted to say thank you for helping folks identify peppers! We recently moved across country, so I've been a little off the grid. 👍🏻

Visited the NuMex Growing Garden a few years back. Great experience. Posting a few pics from the Garden.
Here is the Santaka Pepper, a hot chile that originates from Japan. Also know as ‘Asian Hot’, this mirasol type chile plant (meaning the fruits point towards the sun).

Here's a small last season harvest of my yellow scotch bonnets, quite hot! I dig making hot sauces or salsa with them. Very ripe fish peppers on the left (beautiful peppers, note the stripes on the stems and leaves). Brazilian Starfish peppers at the bottom, Those are super mild and easy to grow. Great for just eating raw or in a salad.
