Can someone confirm my suspicion or your own experience that regardless of the SHU of the pepper that the capsaicinoids might affect you differently? e.g. Ghost peppers seem to be a slow burn that ramps up, Habaneros seem to hit you and linger and Scorpion peppers seem to hit you hard up front and fade really fast. (I used this trio simply to illustrate my question)

you are right but it differs from one person to another, people who are tolerant of capsaicinoids can describe the sensation better than people who are not tolerant as everything for them is the same
